girl holding flowersI am so absolutely thrilled to be a part of MaryAnne at Mama Smiles’ Small Hands Creating Hope project!

Small Hands Creating Hope

MaryAnne spearheaded this exciting fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in celebration of her thirty years of cancer survivorship. She put together an incredibly talented group of fellow bloggers who worked with their children or students to create a craft that can be made by or for someone facing cancer and compiled them into a cool little book.american cancer society fundraiser

There are so many amazing projects in the Small Hands Creating Hope book and several tutorials so that you can recreate the crafts at home with your own children or students.

Our contribution to this lovely project are these two super easy and sunshine-y Flowers of Hope Wreaths that Jane and I put together:paper tissue flower wreathgirl holding wreathpaper tissue flower wreath

The full tutorial is in the book and even better … we are giving away a Creative Kit with all the materials you need to create both wreaths or to give together with the book as a thoughtful gift for someone you love who might be in need of a little sunshine.giveawaygiveaway

Creative Kit includes:

  • 100 sheets of colored tissue paper (8 colors)
  • 1 wooden floral wreath
  • 1 coil of green floral wire
  • assorted color crafting beads
  • 1 butterfly-themed pack of 15 faux gemstones and 60 foam stickers
  • 1 butterfly-themed sticker pack of 20 felt stickers
  • 2 yellow sequin bird embellisments

To win the Creative Kit, simply leave a comment telling me what you do to perk up your grey days.

*UPDATE* I’m also throwing in an eBook with the Creative Kit!

One winner will be chosen at random and notified on June 1st.

You can snag this awesome eBook by donating at least $15 to the American Cancer Society. Hard copies of the book - at production cost - are also available for purchase after you’ve purchased an eBook.

We are hoping to raise $3,000 by July 4th, and we are running a blog hop from May 14th until July 4th to celebrate and raise funds so that, in the future, thirty years of cancer survivorship will be the norm, not the exception! Learn about each of the bloggers who participated in the book by visiting each blog on their assigned dates – a few bloggers will be running celebratory giveaways, too!
